Marketing Manager

Are you a creative, entrepreneurial self-starter who loves turning ideas into action? Join a small team of inspired individuals who love what they do and are passionate about building a brand that stands out.

As Bixa’s Marketing Manager, you’ll help keep our marketing engine running—from content and email campaigns to our website, newsletters, special projects, and growth initiatives. You’ll be the person helping make sure great ideas actually get created, published, promoted, and measured.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes variety. One day you might be coordinating a new research report with a writer and designer; the next, building an email campaign, updating the website, preparing for a webinar, or digging into campaign results to see what we should do differently next time.

You’ll have room to bring ideas to the table, improve how we market Bixa, and grow into greater marketing responsibility over time.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage Bixa’s day-to-day marketing calendar, keeping recurring content, campaigns, and projects organized and on schedule.

  • Coordinate biweekly blog posts, working with external copywriters and internal subject-matter experts to move content from idea to publication.

  • Help plan and produce our quarterly e-newsletter, including content selection, editing, production, and deployment.

  • Coordinate special content and editorial projects, including guides, reports, case studies, webinars, and other resources.

  • Execute email marketing campaigns for prospects, clients, and past clients—from building emails and managing lists to scheduling sends and tracking performance.

  • Make routine website updates and help ensure content stays accurate, current, engaging, and aligned with SEO best practices.

  • Support brand and content marketing across channels, making sure our messaging and creative feel consistent and polished.

  • Assist with growth and digital marketing initiatives, including landing pages, organic promotion, email acquisition, and campaign reporting.

  • Coordinate with freelance copywriters, designers, and other partners by preparing briefs, gathering feedback, and keeping projects moving.

  • Help create marketing and sales collateral, event materials, presentations, and other assets as needs arise.

  • Support webinars, events, partnerships, and other special marketing initiatives.

  • Track marketing metrics and identify patterns, opportunities, and areas that deserve more attention.

  • Bring ideas to the table! We want someone who is always looking for practical ways to make our marketing better, easier, and more effective.

What we’d like to see:

  • Approximately 2–4 years of marketing experience, ideally in a role where you’ve had the opportunity to work across several areas of marketing rather than specializing in just one.

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with an eye for content that is clear, compelling, and on-brand.

  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills—you’re comfortable juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and contributors at once.

  • Familiarity with content marketing, email marketing, brand marketing, and digital marketing fundamentals.

  • Comfort learning and working in marketing technology and content-management platforms.

  • Enough understanding of marketing analytics to interpret basic campaign results, spot patterns, and ask smart questions about what’s working.

  • A willingness to be hands-on. You enjoy thinking about how marketing could be better—but you’re equally comfortable jumping in to build, publish, coordinate, and execute.

  • Good judgment and strong attention to detail, with the confidence to work independently and the awareness to know when to ask for input.

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to continue growing as a marketer.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in B2B marketing, particularly within professional services, research, consulting, SaaS, or another expertise-driven business.

  • Experience marketing to marketers, researchers, strategists, or other sophisticated business audiences.

  • Experience managing freelance writers, designers, or other outside creative partners.

  • Familiarity with Squarespace, HubSpot, and Trello. Working knowledge of SEO and GEO fundamentals.

  • Experience supporting webinars, events, original research, reports, or other substantial content projects.

Bixa is committed to creating an inclusive employee experience for all. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or if you’re parenting the next generation of innovators, we believe that our work is at its best when everyone feels free to be their most authentic self.
